About K1 Films

K1 Films is an independent film production company dedicated to developing psychologically driven, character-focused genre films. We specialize in contained, high-impact stories designed for strong festival positioning and long-term audience growth.

We believe horror and thrillers are most powerful when rooted in emotional truth, moral conflict, and atmosphere.

Short. Controlled. Confident.

K1 Films was founded by Ike Ojukwu, a filmmaker drawn to stories that explore generational trauma, moral survival, and the tension between faith and fear. With a focus on atmospheric storytelling and character-driven suspense, his work blends psychological depth with cinematic restraint.

He approaches filmmaking as both art and strategy — developing projects designed not only to resonate emotionally, but to perform in competitive festival and independent markets.
